Hello Everyone,

I wanted to post this to see if anyone can help me to find a solution with the Huawei B593-501 router and T-Mobile sim card. When I first received the router I tested it with my prepaid sim card and it worked without any problems. I received my new sim card for postpaid unlimited data but the router can't read the sim card and the mode status light has the mulberry color. I was wondering if anyone has ever come across this issue and if there is a way to get my sim card to work. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

The new SIM card is also from the same service provider (T-Mobile)?

Check with old SIM card if it connects to LTE tower or 3G/GSM tower. Try to force LTE or 3G in manual mode. If router connects properly in LTE and 3G mode, problem is likely with new SIM. Take new SIM back to the outlet you bought it from (together with your router) and let them investigate.

Thank you for the help. I guess I have no choice but to go to T Mobile as my prepaid SIM card connects to LTE but the router won't read my postpaid SIM card.

Yeah i would look at the sim card first as well, it's the only variable that has changed when the problem started

You need an LTE SIM card. It wont work on any other SIM. MTN SIM cards has the word LTE printed on them.

Was TM able to sort out your issue with the sim card? I bought my CPE B593u-91 from a private individual (I think the device comes from Saudi Arabia). Worked fine with my post paid TM sim card (Smart Internet 15GB promo) for the last 18 months. A week ago I came home from work and this steady mulberry mode light was on. Upon login into the management UI discovered that the sim card was locked. When I place the sim in my cellphone it works. Anyone experience this problem or have a solution to fixing the sim card locked status?
