Hi,

I have a Huawei B970B router and it has been working fine.

A week ago because of a bad plug it had a little short-circuit and no more internet.
It did a reset, and I have configured it all again.

All the lights are on, and it should be working. It has very good signal, and in the configuration page it has everything on green (Sim, WAN, 3G and signal is max).

Has someone had this problem before? Is it a card problem (although when on phone it has very good signal)? Or is it a router problem?

Is there any test I can do to solve this?

Thanks for your help,

Mitico

Ipconfig: from PC you are connecting to the Internet. Open cmd.exe and issue command.
router config: can't help, probably router configuration WEB pages.

Did you try SIM card in smart phone? Or different SIM card in the router?

I tried the SIM card on a smart phone but only to check if it had signal and actually worked, should I try to connect to the internet with it?
I haven't tried another SIM in the router yet, can it be a normal SIM or does it have to be a DATA SIM?

Thanks

If you connect and browse, SIM should be fine. -> Follow The_Librarian.

Card is fine, I have just put in a phone and browsed the internet with no problems. Thanks for the tip.

So that leaves the router problem.
I connected the router to the laptop with a cable and still the same problem. Then I received an email on outlook, which means that outlook can connect to the internet. Sent a 1mb file to myself and went through, then tried internet explorer and it also works, but not in Mozilla - strange!!! Took the cable out and the same situation, all worked except Mozilla. The I finally rebooted the computer and all works fine.

So I guess the modem has always been working (or not) maybe the wrong configuration was set...

Thanks for all your help and hope when I arrive home today it will all be working still :)

Thanks for all your help
