I know this has been discussed and V3G told me at the last MyADSL conference that they got it working.

Just want to know where to get firmware that won't ruin my modem. :)

Please help.

Think they took it off now
So they did! The page still has This version includes support for 7.2 Mbps though. This version of what exactly, the user guide? :D
I'll see if I can find the direct link.

If you got yours from Vodacom, wait until they release the firmware and get it from them.

Ah, ginggs, you're a lifesaver....again!

I'll wait for V3G to give us the good news. :)

Two weeks ago while I was troubleshooting a friend's laptop, I discovered that the Vodacom E220 that had been bought a day or two earlier had the 7.2Mbps firmware on it.

I can't remember the exact version but it had a 117 in the number and was different to the version on my E220. It connected at 7.2 according to Windoze on the PC-E220 link.

I've used firmware 11.117.07.00.67 on a few machines, and I've always found disconnections at times.

Reverted back to 11.110.05.00.00 and that fixed the disconnections. So leaving is at this stable firmware until Vodacom have officially released their 7.2 network and a stable 7.2 firmware for the E220.

I'm sure there's engineers at Vodacom testing the E220 with different 7.2Mbps firmware versions at the mo....think I'll also wait for Vodacom's firmware.

Found the version number on the Vodacom E220. It is 11.117.09.04.00.

So it is different to the one that was on the MTN site.
