Huawei Mate 20

Which app is everyone using to check display manufacturer?
I used this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.andr7e.deviceinfohw

On first page of that app, check what it says for your phones Touchscreen.

I got the LG panel :(

Good luck...I went through 2 in 7 days. Second one worse than the first. And Huawei's response... "Drive to our Melrose shop and we will sort it out for you" So no mention of even collection... I have now rejected the phone and waiting for the contract to be cancelled.

So far no signs I'm just hoping it was a faulty batch and I got lucky

Neat little video covering Mate 20 Pro Tips & Tricks

One little trick I have found is if you find that the device is aggressive in its power saving efforts (even in cPerformance Mode) you can go to Settings - Battery - App Launch - and turn off the Automatic App Management and adjust each app to be allowed to run in the background or not.

Anyway here's the video

Mate 20 Pro Engadget Review - "easily the best phone out there right now" according to them, quite surprised to hear that coming from Engadget

Almost forgot, if you don't mind the notch but want it to be hidden in apps like YOUTUBE, VLC and Huawei Video then go to:

Settings - Display - More Display Settings - Notch - Default (click on Custom) - select the app where you want the notch to be hidden. I must say, with this done, I don't really mind the notch that much any longer as it just disappears in YouTube

Unfortunately all the phones in South Africa will be from the same batch. My first phone took a couple days. The second was like that straight out the box. Remember to test it in total darkness and with the "dark mode" enabled. Or just open Netflix

Yes less than R300 delivered and the case fits very well and looks to offer good protection for the phone. Still nice and slim although long term I prefer the cases like Unicorn beetle or UAG.
Uag also has one and is offering me 10% offchoice is hard
