Oh damn, Commando, this is legendary in so many ways!

Probably my favourite Arnold movie to.

Anyone have issues connecting with 802.1x authentication Wifi networks?
Connects fine to open and WPA2 networks, but 802.1x seems to be a hit and miss, only after 20 minutes it connects, once it disconnects it's 20 minutes before it connects again.
This happens on my home wifi and work wifi network with 802.1x authentication

Edit: Seems it's a Android Pie/Huawei issue, still no fix it seems
I've picked up something with the WiFi - but I seem to have a period issue of it not detecting the 5Ghz.

Ouch! Doesn't take bending too well, but he did point out that it cracked where he had done the deeper scratches with the mohs picks, so it seems a deep scratch that weakens the glass + bending would not end well.
Same thing happened to the P20 Pro, seems it's down to the quality of the glass, maybe if they used Gorilla Glass the results would have been different.

I think use Gorilla Glass on the Mate 20 Pro? Just don't don't specify a version?

Probably version 1 seeing the one reviewer dropped it accidentally (or rather slipped out his pocket) from about 30cm and it shattered, good case is a must on this one it seems

I had the same experience with my S7 edge as well as my wife's. Even small drops cracked the screen. Very fragile phones. Don't know if it has anything to do with the curved screens.

My 2 year old S7 is scratch-less, I drop it at least once a day, never seen a cover or screen protector, edge phones probably crack easier then

edit: scratches at usb port and button on S7, but none one the screen, sides or back

Yup. First drop with my S7 edge cracked the screen.
Yeah, my mother dropped her S7 Edge beginning of last year, it was in one of those Samsung flip covers. When we took it to Samsung Care they said they had to replace the display, logic board and battery, if I remember correctly. Got her a proper case the same day I picked the phone up.

Both s7s got a unicorn Beetle case straight after and despite multiple drops no issues at all. They're awesome cases but I fear they don't make one for the Huawei mate 20 pro.

Best thing to do. My Note8 and S7 Edge have Incipio and Speck cases respectively. I have never taken a Curved screened phone without a case, actually I have never owned a Glass sandwich phone without getting it a case, lol, all these phones are very fragile.

Did your Mate 20 Pro not come with a Case in the box? I'm using the Case that came in the box and it's doing a great job, it's a similar case to the first case I had on my S7 Edge, think that was a Muvit case before I got the Speck one.

Ordered two Spigen cases off Amazon which came in less than a week. It's very nice but I would still prefer a sturdier case.

Can confirm that nothing comes close the the UAG Case, the feel etc and cut off is something else.
