Not true. I swap over from MTN to Cell C during the month, and both give me full speed. Of course, Cell C does not have LTE yet, but that's another story.

I get HSDPA on my Cell C SIM, and LTE on MTN. Only one SIM is selected at a time for data, perhaps that is what was meant. You choose which in Settings, and can change at any time.
 
Yeah I agree ,both slots do allow for HSDPA/LTE ,but you can only choose for one data slot to be active at a time (vs calls and sms which are active on both slots all the time) . I also swap between Cell C and Vodacom data during the month and get HSDPA on my Cell C and LTE on Vodacom .

As for skype , well I have used Video calling a fair bit with no lag or any issues thus far .
 
Been reading this thread now and then and must say, I would love my Note 4 to be dual sim, would help a lot, especially when Vodacom acts up in my area as I am far too dependant on them (Voda dongle, Voda WiFi mobile hotspot, Voda phone contract). I wish we got dual sim Samsungs down here.

How is Lollipop on the Mate 7 guys? I may be opening another contract in the next 2-4months, thinking do I wait until Note 5 and iPhone 6 S Plus arrive or get something different now...
 
Lollipop is coming to the Mate 7 and G7 in the next couple of months , not sure exactly when but it is coming and was confirmed by Huawei . Honestly though I am very happy with the current Kit kat on the device (Mate 7).

I asked on the Huawei SA Facebook page re the update and they confirmed we would be getting it here in SA (as will the G7 , but a bit later) . Let's hope it does not take too long one it has been released.

BTW, I picked up a sleek clear cover at the local CellTime (Forest Hill Mall) - looks beautiful on the gold Mate.

Do you have any pics of it and the make? I am still looking for a nice clear cover , I got the Nillkin gold one from abroad but would prefer a clear cover . What was the price?

Apparently they skipping 5.0 and going straight to 5.1 , I must be honest though ,I am perfectly happy with Kit kat currently on it and will wait before upgrading first and see what the reaction is to 5.1 on the Mate 7.
 
R120. Not sure what brand, but it came packaged in a clear plastic wrapper with a green stripe at the top (white writing, I think).

Anyone received this new update (MT7-TL10 V100R001C00B128) , if so have you downloaded it ? Any changes/new features?

It's a rather large 116 mb update.

No obvious changes. Looks like a stability update, and most probably a prep update for the upcoming 5.1 update. (Used "update" far too many times in that sentence :erm:)

:D Thanks , I'll let mine update this evening . I also suspect it is a prep for 5.1 .
