Have the p10 lite as my work phone, and very impressed with it.

Bought the SO a Wileyfox Swift 2X few months back which she loved, but sadly it died.
Returned it and bought the p10 lite for her with the reffund - R3999 with Takealot.
Should get it today or tomorrow - she was very keen to get another WF or the Redmi Note 4, but after she had a look at my p10 lite and spent some time with it she was won over..

had this phone about a month now and still very happy with it, battery is very decent. 4GB ram, phone is quite fast and responsive. considering the price this is very good value for money. Clear screen and good camera, not the greatest in dark lighting but does a good job!

So got me a P10 lite now. Overall it seems pretty awesome, but Fitbit doesn't work with it.

And Fitbit support's suggestion?

Use a different phone.

Yeah it was the same with the P9 Lite.

Piss poor. Which is one of the reasons I recently switched to Garmin. That and waterproofing.

I thiink I will be doing the same.

I mean, the sheer arrogance just blows my mind.

Replying to @FitbitSupport

Tell you what- You give me another phone then? What a completely unrealistic suggestion...
Like a gas station saying "Oh no our gas doesn't work in a Mercedes, you better go buy a BMW"

Exactly that. And I've read some of the replies on their support forums. They do not even intend to make support and connectivity for these phones available even with so many complaints.

I bought myself also a P10 lite coming from a Samsung S5. Quite happy with the device. Although this is my second device. The previous one had a "screen jumping problem" and it was replaced with a new one. My only problem with this P10 lite is that the white looks more towards the blue side of things. On this phone that I have now it looks like more on the left side where the colour is not that bright. Very small to notice though. Not sure if this is how it should look?

For what it's worth, selling a brand new unopened P10 Lite at 30 to 40% less than retail. PM me if keen

Got one as well - I totally ****ed up the screen cover that came with the phone. Is it necessary to have one? If so, where can I get one put on in Cape Town (I'm in Tokai area).

Well, I went to a Telkom store, and got them to put a screen protector on - the edges are not stuck down. Is this normal? The dude said it would come right, as the phone 'gets warmer' :wtf:

Any recommendations for where I can get one that works? I'm going to refund this one I think...

If it's a tempered glass screen protector, then yeah, that's normal, because of the curved screen.

EDIT: I don't know what he's talking about it "coming right" though. Sometimes those people working there at the tech stores don't always know wtf they're talking about.
Can you upload a picture to show what it looks like?

I don't have another camera here, but it's clearly not adhering to the screen for about 4/5 mm all round. Googling it, it's apparently a common problem. It's going to drive me nuts though, but I'm not sure whether to just keep this R170 one on until I find an alternative that works, or take it back and risk scratching the actual screen. Irritating...

I love my P10 lite, only issue I'm having is the lack of Oreo, wonder when we'll be getting Oreo.

That's a lot of money for a screen protector I paid R49 for one at Soundtech, but it has the "halo effect" as well. There are Youtube videos of people using olive oil on a cotton bud, to apply onto the sides, and it seemed to work for them.

I tried it with baby oil, and it didn't last very long. I'll see if I can get some olive oil soon to see if that's better.

Here is a link to one of the videos: https://youtu.be/ylDLfPxl_xU

Have any of you dropped the P10 Lite and how strong is it?

Huawei phones are tempting but I am put off by the lack of Gorilla Glass.I have read feedback from mybb members and a bit from hellopeter. The screens on Huawei phones seem to crack easily vs a phone with Gorilla Glass.

Tempered glass doesn't seem to be an option due to phone having a curve.

Please update thread if you are able to get a tempered glass protector that fits.

Have to say. My P9 Lite has taken quite a beating and plenty of falls and is still soldiering on without problems.

Wife's P10 Lite also took a few tumbles and no screen damage from any of them.

But from experience I know it can be the smallest of bumps at just the right angle that will shatter any screen on even the best phones while a massive drop by your toddler will leave no damage at all on even a budget phone.

I have a tempered glass protector on my p10 lite.

Does it fit the phone properly and where did you get it from?

I have checked Takealot and there are complaints about tempered glass not fitting the phone properly.
