Thank you! Had to stalk you on Twitter to read the link though![]()
One thing I hate about the T&Cs is that they don't specify when the "launch" period ends. I have a uChoose plan, so how will I know when I can have it enabled?

I tried to get a more informed answer on the Vodacom website support forum. This was the reply....however, he seems to have deleted his reply since.

1. I struggle to believe that Huawei had anything to do with the dicision making in ellecting to disable these features on our P10 Lite's as they are more than happy to have it enabled on other carriers in other countries.
2. Yes, the Huawei P10 Lite is a cheaper phone, but it is hardly CHEAP when I look at the cost price. Also, the P10 Lite is cheaper, but not that much cheaper compared to the Samsung A3 2017 model (when we were still selling this model) and yet, the Samsung A3 supports both Volte and VoWiFi.
3. As for no Huawei model supporting VoWiFi at all, this is clearly not the case as proven by Sinbad.
4. Why on earth would a mobile operator limit these functions on a phone which clearly does support it....all you have to do is as that they enable it in the operator firmware and push it out. Why disable a feature which will:
1. Improve customer experience and satisfaction by way of clearer and HD quality calls. Improve battery life on the phone due to not having to constantly fall back to 3G to make or take a call. .
2 Faster call setup times (and potentially fewer dropped calls). Relieving congestion and freeing up spectrum on the 3G network by moving more people onto Volte (potentially allowing for more spectrum to be refarmed and allocated to the 4G LTE network).
3. Moving traffic completely off the mobile network last mile via VoWiFi....YET, still benefitting from customer revenue as the customer's normal minutes is still used and billed for BUT ALSO, improving customer experience where Vodacom signal is weak or lacking BUT the customer has got access to acceptable ADLS or Fibre backhaul'ed WiFi at home or office, thereby making the customer sticky and less likely to port out.

I'm still contemplating whether I should do it, lol, because I don't feel like going through all that effort
We'll see how it goes after a week
