If its more expensive than a Nexus i'd go nexus for me to consider any phone it needs to be cheaper than a Nexus 4

I think it's a good price, specially on contract.

I wouldn't mind even if they were turd shaped... Android updates as they're released and everything in the playstore tested to work on it. Can't put a price on that
 
I see it is not running stock Android after all. Hope they support the device with future software releases.

I read last night (cant remember where now) that Huawei is in talks with Google to perhaps do a Google Play version (like the HTC ONE and Samsung S4) that will be shipped with stock. Not sure if this is true or not. Seems they are still pondering it.
 
It is, indeed, a very nice looking device & recent mid- to high-range 'droids have high enough specs to comfortably last a normal contract period - hell, I'm still quite satisfied with my Sensation - but a One it is not. 4 weeks and counting...
 
Thank you for starting this thread. My contract is coming up for renewal and I was also interested in getting the p6 but didn't know if Vodacom was getting this phone. Now to wait and see what it will cost me on my contract.:)
 
Hi

My wife has been using the phone for over a week now and loving it. Ordered it from amazon uk and paid about R4.5k for it including customs and delivery. Its a nice and simple phone and definitely easy to use. The form factor is nice and pretty close to my trusty SGS2 (just slightly longer). A recommend on my wife's behalf.
 
I would definitely buy the ascend p6 because it has good specs and for a high-end smartphone it only costs R5k, wich is great!
 
Our Dummy unit arrived with stand. It feels great in my hand.....great size and it really is very very thin. I WANT ONE!!!
