Huge thank you Amobia!

Long story short, I got really frustrated playing League of Legends on my 8ta connection due to the more and more frequent disconnects on their network (seems others are experiencing this too). I have an Amobia uncapped connection at home which has never really worked well for gaming but to be fair I was warned about this when signing up. It's used for e-mail, browsing and downloading.

In desperation I phoned their helpdesk, explained my problem and asked if they could help me out (LoL is the only game I play). They said they couldn't promise anything but would check it out and phone me back the next day. Well, they phoned me back at the time they promised they would and asked me to test but alas, I still experienced a lot of lag and thought that was the end of it. I wasn't unhappy with Amobia - they at least were willing to help me and I couldn't fault their service! In my mind, it was a long-shot anyway, I understand the disadvantages of an uncapped connection.

To my surprise Amobia phoned me back again a day later and asked me to test once again! I wasn't very optimistic but this time around it worked brilliantly and has continued to do so. Huge thank you Amobia for going that extra, extra mile. You guys rock and I get to play LoL without worries of constant disconnects!

If I can game on their uncapped account as well, I will get it 2. I was on their capped packages and loved it for online gaming, but the topup prices killed me. :(

Those are pretty good for uncapped. :)

My site survey has been booked. :D

I'm glad you're considering them. Honestly (and in the interest of full disclosure) the only issue I've EVER had with Amobia was a billing screw-up in my first month of using them. They needed to bill me pro rata as I didn't sign on at the beginning or halfway through the month and they messed it up. To make up for it - they upgraded my connection speed for the duration of the following month at no extra charge. I can guarantee you that you won't see many other ISP's doing this! I'm really happy with them and I'm really hoping that when I move at the end of this year, the new suburb also has Amobia coverage.

I am back now and even though I can get telkom, I still prefer AMOBIA. They will be at my place on monday @ 8am-ish. :D

Let's quickly look at what's wrong with this post:
- It unsolicited.
- It provides absolutely no context as to the product being demonstrated. Is it capped/uncapped? Is it shaped? Are we even comparing apples to apples here? Where is the test being run from? For all we know this could have been run from your server room.
- This is a thread thanking an ISP for their excellent customer service. If you're planning on taking a cheapshot why not at least link to a similar thread of your own where someone is praising you for going the extra mile instead of posting ping results?

No thanks sawireless - I don't like ambush marketing. If your service is good, let it speak for itself on these forums.

Great advertising campaign sawireless...will definitely not refer the company. Maybe take a course in online reputation management?

Dodge the issue at hand if you like but I suspect you're only doing your own reputation harm.
