To those who have the service, any reason why I should get it with Netflix? As you can see from my other topic, also considering Amazon Prime

I enjoy it, get most American shows within 24 hours or airing in the US. there's some though that just don't go on there like big bang theory, CSI...

I have had it for only a couple of days but from what I can see it has a lot of different stuff to Netflix and tons of it!! Only thing it has adverts but they only last a couple of seconds

Netflix = Complete seasons
Hulu+ = Ongoing Seasons( last 5 or 7 episodes for most series)
Hulu = Free: Some free ongoing seasons and some complete seasons

Personally i will get Netflix and download the ongoing seasons. I cancelled Hulu+ 2 months back because they didn't have the series i was watching, Suits, Covert Affairs etc

We prefer Hulu to Netflix as we like to watch the shows as they air.
Hulu also streams like a dream.

I'm complete opposite. I hate waiting weekly for episodes. Much rather finish a whole season in a few days. So for that Netflix is way better.

Do I need an Apple ID to watch Hulu on an ATV?

I have both, i like hulu +. Just for the fact that it plays new stuff.

Cancelled Hulu because of the adverts. Regardless of their length or content, I don't think they should be there if you're paying to watch the content.

cool, can any of that stream through a Roku? Because I don't spend more time in front of the pc that I have to

@envo: I can stream most of the latest shows that are available on Hulu Plus in 720p resolution from usdrama.net and shush.se on my MXIII android media player (~R1200). I am also using the instant torrent service time4popcorm as well as 1channel (XBMC) to watch the latest movies. The Roku is not really a good choice if you want to stream free content from torrents, XBMC, via a web browser etc. The free Hulu service is now also available on android which offers many of the same shows that you have to pay to watch on the Roku. These latest android media players are a really good substitute for a R5000+ HTPC and could save you a lot of money in the long run. If you are interested test out the free services via a web browser on a PC to see if they meet your requirements. You can download the PC version of time4popcorn in the link below.

the reason why you can watch latest stuff on hulu+ is because of the adds, thats why netflix doesn't play latest stuff. It would cost alot more to play latest stuff without adds i think.

Exact opposite for me.

Hulu streams like ass while Netflix is 100%.

Of course the Ads stream 100% and in HD quality...everything else either stutters or is like 340p.

Ditto. Hulu only worked great for me on capped Web Africa and that little ITNT taster we had. It was fun for a few days :D

I prefer Netflix because of the quality of streaming (even when shaped moer toe) and the uninterrupted shows. I think Sauron was the one responsible for me giving DSTV the finger. I simply cannot watch DSTV anymore, it is a chore hopping around watching crap shows repeated ad nauseum.

Same here! Hulu streams are much worse than Netflix

Guys. I gor a roku 3 on friday and I just can't get huluplus to work. Netflix, youtube, all work 100%.
When streaming to my laptop it works flawlessly so I know my line isn't the problem.

Any ideas?

What error do you get? Which DNS service are you using?
