hundred pushups program

Doing week one for the 3rd time lol. Day 1 and 2 completed for the first time, hope i get thru day 3 so i can finally move on to week 2.

So, ja.... Pretty much fell off this completely... But I am completely 100% committed to going to gym again, and that is going very well. I find it impossible to fit in full time gym and this program, so I am sticking to gym for now :)

Anyways, best of luck to everybody else doing the program! It will work if you stick at it :)

i've found that i'm at a slight disadvantage, by the time i get home in the evenings i'm already ****ed anyway. my work is very physical, plus i have a 13 kg son who wants to be picked and played with from when i get home :p by the time i get on my knees i can already feel i am not going to make 2 :D

i'm starting next week, thought i'd start on a monday to make it easier, my previous 4 were the initial strength test :p

you know, getting ready to bend over :p i'm an IT techie, but i work for a mining town and run around it all day carrying things and lifting stuff, and some of those old machines are heavy :p

Just did my week 4 day 1 column 3. Went pretty well, did another set of 33 afterwards :)

Oh my god, please tell me week 2 is easier. I feel dead after collapsing on the last pushup of the last set of day 3 week 1.

I think i messed up my left elbow,it clicked while i was doing day 2,feels like a pulled sumthing, still managed to complete day 3.

In a similar situation, but am trying to fit in pushup nights where i can. Have only managed to fit in 3 pushup nights in about 9 days. Will carry on till i get to end of week 4 and do another exhaustion test and see what the improvement is...

I kept on bombing out trying to do week 6 column 2 -

I've dropped back to week 5 - and am going to focus on it till it is easy. Then i'll try do week 6 - I have a really ****ed elbow (broke my elbow in three places) and it constantly hurting made this stop being fun....

For the guys hitting a wall in week 5/6 or wanting a different challenge, i suggest doing one of the many pushup variations (i.e. spiderman pushups or decline pushups) to make it more difficult[1]. U gonna build more muscle if u do a higher intensity pushup vs the normal variety. I reckon i will do that when i hit week 5 or 6 :)

[1] My thinking being what's the point in being able to do 100 easy pushups. I'd rather want to be able to do 50 difficult pushups!

Not sure if too late to start, but did initial test today and managed 12.

My arms are still trembling :D

I also started climbing stairs at work a while back. Instead of taking the lift to meetings, I try if not too many floors, to walk there.

Today I did 17 floors of climbing with 7 floors in one of the sessions. One day I'll do it without needing an hour to compose myself :D

Edit: thought I would end the day with a wee run around in the Caverns (online, that is :))

Succesfully completed week 4 day 2 column 3 :)
Just managed the 36 in the 5th set.

Yes, do diamond pushups. They will be very challenging and work some different muscles to the regular pushups :)
