Hurricane Irma

Let us know later they're OK. I have family in Fort Lauderdale. They should be OK where they are. Last I heard, the path of the hurricane had move slightly west, which meant that they wouldn't impacted by the worst of it. Still, it is a concern.

Ye hope they all alright as they were hit badly from Katrina the last time and had to rebuild everything from scratch apparently there is an undergound bunker nearby which they probably are using.

We told our daughters boyfriend in Miami to come to us but his mommy bought him a ticket to family in Tampa. Tampa is gonna be hit hard so they ran to Orlando which is also going to be hit.

Lol. Who is following who here

so far, so good, decent amount of rain and wind, tree branches and the odd tree in its chops, but thankfully no major damage to their property.

hectic, i saw on TV yesterday that they are designed to rotate like a weather vane, but up to max wind speed of 145 mph.
Saw one spinning on television. They mentioned one that went down and showed a photo from Twitter. Waiting for more details.

Apparently a crane went down in Miami

People aren't meant to survive stuff like this...

We were in Miami on my anniversary on the 4th September and saw the cranes. Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami reminded us of cape town city but with much taller buildings. Those cranes can do plenty damage coming down in Miami. Scary stuff.

And the morons are out on Twitter. Personally, I've seen one non-white reporter out in that storm.
