Hi guys. Hoping someone can help me. I’m buying a new Creta and, in spite of all the extras it comes with, I was surprised that it doesn’t come with a push button start or keyless entry.

Does anyone know if this can be retrofitted at Hyundai?

any after market modification like this will definitely impact your warranty

Even if I get it done at a Hyundai dealership?

Only if it was an approved product which I doubt you will find if the dealership doesn't offer it direct, you should be asking the sales person

No, it has to be a standard installed feature and programmed with the ECU. It's usually a factory installed feature - not something that is retrofitted, even by the dealer.

You push a button or turn a key - either way, all you need is one functioning hand to start the vehicle & make it function...

As stated, options such as Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, hill hold assist, lane keep assist & blind spot monitoring, front & rear parking sensors, reversing camera, power tailgate, dual zone climate control and other similar 'bells & whistles' should feature much higher on your list of 'must have' features before something as trivial as push button start.

It's an Indian-assembled Hyundai Creta after all, not a ultra-luxury SUV like a Aston Martin DBX, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga or Rolls-Royce Cullinan, where push button start is considered a standard feature...

Even if you could have it retrofitted, just think of the potential costs. You'd need to replace the keys for a start, iirc about a year ago a replacement key for a Tucson was over R5k.

Leave the key permanently in the ignition and hard-wire in a start button. You'll never be able to lock the car and the battery will drain quickly, but who cares - you want push-button start and by zuma, you'll get it.

A Haval has the keyless access and push start button, as do many affordable SUVs around, we don't need to make comparisons with expensive luxury cars.

Hyundai has always been expensive for what they offer in terms of features.

I strongly recommend you not try and retrofit it as Hyundai will void the warranty immediately. I also wanted to add a sports exhaust to my car, was advised not to.

I seriously doubt if it could be retrofitted. I have the previous version of the Creta and to add a "Stop/Start" button would mean that a physical hole would have to be cut to accommodate such a button. Aesthetically it would not look good. I would not do it. Why not look at the higher-end Venues which offers this function?
