I bought a Chromecast

I had to add the Chromecast mac address to my router before it worked again, strange ..........
 
I am having the same issue... my chromescast disconnects randomly at times and works randomly at times. Has anyone figured out how to fix this?

Depends on if the DSTV app supports broadcast... I noticed that from the supersport page I could not share the tab that it was running in as it opens in a popup.

Either very clever or stupid of them... not sure.

Use the share your screen option.
 
I need to buy a new Chromecast, but Takealot is out of stock.

Does anyone know of a good, alternative supplier?

Piece of crap for, Presentations sure because there's a couple ms delay because of the wifi delay.
But for watching Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, streaming music or video etc it's the best.

How do you use it for streaming music?

Has anybody successfully used it with Simfy Africa?

You can cast your entire screen for work. Depending on your network there will be a couple milliseconds of delay. If your wifi is fast and uncongested it works fine for presentations. I've even used it for spreadsheets just so people can follow what i'm doing.

Netflix works great but it will try to tell you Netflix is not available in your region you have to redirect the Google DNS to your Unotelly or whatever you're using.

You can cast anything on your pc from the browser
or phone with apps like BubbleUPNP and/or Plex or localcast etc.
I've never used Simfy but if it's on your pc you can cast it.
If the app has chromecast support on android you can cast it.

In most cases you can cast anything if you apply your mind.

I used my previous one for Netflix, but I think it got damaged due to loadshedding or something.

Strange should be able to handle power cuts with no issues. Send it back can't be that old or is it?
