A true friend would understand, that's why I said, if his friend PMS'es about it and he loses his friendship it's not worth being friends with a person like that.
The "bro's before ho's" statement cuts both ways. His friend shouldn't be upset (bro>ho) and if his friend does have a problem with it then he should (respectfully) bro>ho as well.
But we're sitting here twiddling our thumbs not getting to the point of his friend actually knowing what his intentions are.
So go for it FFS. If you lose a friend over it he's not a real friend to begin with. Friends share
If he gets his panties in a wad over this then you can make a judgement call and go the bro>ho route or get the girl and go make new friends.
Seriously. You have the rest of your life to live and you only have one of those so why live it with "what ifs"
You have a good 30-60 years still to go (hopefully) so making a friend should be easy given that time period don't you think?
No. I don't mean acquaintances. I have over 600 of those, only 3 real friends.... and we are truly like brothers.
The fact the OP is worried about what his friend might say or think or do or whatever gives me the indication they're not really friends but (as you mentioned) acquaintances. Why spoil your entire life and your happiness just because someone else is too much of a ***** to let go of something HE dumped in the first place?

Acid has a point.
Though I'm not going to faf around with someone he may still have something for.
I should also think about her. She may be hurting.
I'm not going to be the one who ends up falling on, a shoulder to cry on.
I'm in it for me.
If she would be usig me as a crying post - forget that.
I'm not a rodeo man, going from ranch to ranch, checking out the lifestock. If she beds me, it WILL NOT be because of her frustration. (though, frustration does wonders - I hear).
Hmm.
Me thinks I should consult old Buddah, rub his tummy etc...
