I got the Omnia!

Just to let you guys know (not that you are probably interested :)) but I nearly got fooled into choosing the Omnia over the N82 today due to it's looks. Luckily sense prevailed and I came home, did further research, and will be choosing the better overall phone! ;)

It is pretty though.

Don't fall for their tricks!!! It's cheap, immitation tricks! Glad you could walk away from it though :)

N82 not a looker

Honestly, I think a lot more people would consider the N82 had they put a little more effort into making the phone look better...?
 
Does anyone have any info on when this phone will be available?? Called almost all vodashops in cape town, got different days and guesses from all there staff. One was on the 7th of october when the new specials and prices will be released... I need to upgrade and i want the phone!! :)
 
Okay.. Here is a surprise! VODASCUM IS A RIPPOFF!!

On a Talk500 there is a R1699 pay in to get the Omnia or you can add R89pm to your contract then you will get it free, and on both you don't get the extra 8GB MicroSD card you have to buy it for R480.

WHAT THE HELL vodacom? :'(

FLIP! what losers! seems a move to MTN is inevitable for me then...their Anytime 500 deal is better through and through
 
Yeah I cannot understand how Vodacom get away with charging such crazy crazy prices! When I wanted my Diamond, I considered moving to Voda, but they wanted me to pay in R2k on a Talk500 @ R899 a month or something crazy...Like WTF?

And the customer care guy that I cancelled my contract with, still had to ask me why i was cancelling and not upgrading with them... *sigh* Greedy pigs...
 
WWEEOOOOWW at long last.. I GOT MY OMNIA! haha but.... its on charge now.. hehe Damn.. will have to wait a few hours.. :) cant wait to turn it on.. hehehe WEEOOOOWWW

haha yeah same with me - if only their marketing / pricing dept was as good as their cancellation dept...souding all concerned and being all friendly trying to win you back...pfft
 
Same here... I've been with Vodacom since forever, and have now joined MTN to get my Omnia. How pathetic from VC... they didn't even ask me why I was porting. They're probably getting tired of hearing how bad their deals are... hahahahaha. Bunch of noobs. :o
 
CEO of our company (50+ people in our co.) mentioned the other day it the high pay in on Vodacom contracts vs MTN. When that starts happening, u know there's a problem. Here's a guy with no money problems earning a bucket, and yet he notices what appears to be outrageous pricing.

You still want to charge your phone for 24 hours before you use it. Well gues what, I dont think that rule apply's anymore with the new phones lol.

I agree its not fair on the customer! I think theres a R500 overcharge on deals, both SPs pay the same for their phones. You just need to put the 2 deals next to eachother and its obvious ones cheaper than the other.

My moms a MTN VIP customer I thought about porting her to Voda, when she brought home the deals from MTN (Normal deals not VIP) Voda would not have matched it.
I advised her to stay with MTN.
 
I am porting to MTN, currently on Voda prepaid, getting the Anytime 200 R319*24 contract for Omnia. Signed all docs and just fax through my payslip (forgot to bring this morning), hopefully it will be approved next week.
