I hate using iTunes, I always land up messing my music up...

It took me six months to build , clean and edit my music that went onto my ipad.....

I had to use itunes, that takes forever to load on my pc....to transfer my albums across......

A year later, I wanted to add a few more albums, upgrade itunes to 12.something, did the transfer, and now half my albums are missing their coverart..... A right fekkin mess.... Wish there was winamp for ipad...still waiting for mobilefoobar...

Anyhow, is there anyone out there that is using an alternative to itunes and the stock player on ios?

Look at something call Wondershare. Google "iTunes alternative Wondershare" maybe it will be what you are looking for. I haven't used it. A friend of mine has. Seems to think it's okay. But he is weird so I take everything he says with some scepticism :)

I will not allow iTunes with 3 metres of any PC I have. It's too imperialistic.

Oh! Wise One, i did that and landed up with the oddest covers of which only 40% were recoverable, I had invested many hours seeking out alternative album covers like The Corries.....

Aggggh! No wonder I am driven to suip so much!

I also despise iTunes. It's the best example I've ever seen of how not to design an app.

Unfortunately there isn't any particularly good music player with library management for desktop environments. I just use the apps for streaming services these days.

Therein lies the problem, the way ios works, each to it's own, they mAke it difficult for various parts of the system to integrate with outside apps....
