I hate my life

Still their choice if they want to end it, nobody asked to be born :p You can't be grateful for something you didn't ask for.

Well then why come on a forum and bitch about how pathetic your life is, and that you want to end it ?

While I can sympathize with people going through a ****ty time... if you mtfu - there is always tomorrow.

still, wanting to die has to be the highest form of attention seeking you can get, and from a complete stranger it's useless information. he may as well have come on here askign for a date, he would have gotten trolled no matter what he said, he didn't ask for anything and is just seeking attention

I can't answer that :D But many of us come on here to bitch about all sorts of things instead of just seeking professional help in the first place.

Problem is, sometimes things do just get worse. What happens tomorrow if his dog dies... And then the next day his car gets stolen? Its all a possibility. When your mind is in the wrong place, **** usually gets a lot worse before it gets better, sometimes it never gets better.

Attention seekers, want people to feel sorry for them so pathetic. They not really suicidal, lol proper suicidal people dont ask questions they only question themselves before they make a decision.

If you wanna commit suicide, rather make yourself brain dead and donate your organs I know some children in a really bad state that could use them. Come on OP they only 4 years old give em a chance

Exactly. And making a new account for it does not help even one bit. How can anyone take him seriously? It can be nothing but attention seeking.
At least when abzo does it his posts are generally amusing...

Well she's right... a lot of people are scared ****less about contracting some dodgy disease and dying... and then you have those that are finding out at this moment that they have only months to live.. Then you get these types who consider life pointless.

I'm sure the people with no choice would gladly trade places with the OP.

It baffles me that people still treat depression as a matter of choice. Depression is a mental ILLNESS. Suicidal thoughts and desires are as much a medical symptom as a tumour in cancer sufferers.

Whether the depression is chemical or situational, the fact remains: clinical depression is an illness and needs to be treated with as much respect and attention as any physical ailment.

If a terminally ill person came in here and said the pain was too much to handle and they wanted their life to end, there would be a helluva lot more understanding and patience. Why is mental/emotional/psychological pain viewed as so inferior or unworthy of that recognition?

I personally do not support suicide but simply because I maintain that no hole is too deep to dig yourself out of if you have even the smallest life anchor to hold on to (in this case OP has his/her child). Once you gather some momentum, your happiness snowballs and before you know it, you're a functional, non suicidal person again.

Vasbyt.

Reminds me of Seven Pounds with Will Smith. Awesome movie.

Abzo makes everything awesome, we have to drag him into a game of mafia, he wants to be a detective anyway :D

the thing is even I have depression, but I've never thought of death or threatening suicide, so it is hard for me to relate i guess

She does have a point but to start with the words "how dare you come here and declare that you wish to die" doesn't really help does it.The last thing a depressed person wants to hear is criticism of their situation and the fact that cancer sufferers are worse off than them. How do we know?

Maybe the OP is not as skilled as other people in dealing with lifes challenges.

Because there's still a stigma attached to mental illness that develops later on in life. People don't seem to take it as seriously as a physical illness, they think that you should just force yourself to change your way of thinking and everything will be ok again. What is funny is that I don't see anyone trying to force mentally handicapped people to change their way of thinking. It seems like it's only ok if you're born that way, but not if you develop a condition later on.

And again... you're not going to get anywhere by bitching on a forum about wanting to end your life... if you suffer from depression, go see someone, whether you suffer from depression, or are just going through a really ****ty time, you need to do something to sort the problem out, moaning and doing nothing solves nothing.

Absolutely, but people come here seeking all sorts of medical and legal advise, rather than just going to see a professional in the first place. Surely then, that could also be construed as attention seeking?

You cant treat those that dont want to be treated, so let em die.

I'm I too late to say...

@OP I think he wanted instructions.... I would go with Oleander it grows wild easily accessable...if you dont die when you take it you'll die eventually from kidney failure or something :p

Prefix: I agree that this thread is pointless but(!):

1) another symptom of depression is that people often lack the motivation to seek help (amongst other things). while in the throes of your illness, you can expect to feel almost physically incapable of certain things that you (in your clearer mindsets) know will be of benefit to you. It's debilitating in so many ways. So yes, doing nothing solves nothing. But the ability to do something could already be seen as a sign of improvement from the problem of not being able to do something (....).

2) have you never felt so alone and so desperate that you have reached out in inappropriate ways? I'm not saying its right or that I support it, but it's a common human problem that at times of suffering, any attention will do. Negative or otherwise. I would seriously doubt anyone who said they have never looked for attention in the wrong ways.

I'm not saying the OP should be molly coddled and given an e-pacifier, but there are infinite perspectives to any given situation.
