hello everyone! this is a bit of a ripoff, i have exactly 1.61 gb of data, doesnt work, but alas, mtn is using my airtime, i called them to inform them, and everytime they just reply, "we will escalate your problem"

my question, mtn has robbed me of R.300 worth of airtime, is there some sort of omburdsman i can report this to! everytime i have problems with mtn, they are never solved, so, its easy, when i finish solving this one, i will depart from mtn in peace!

sorry for long post!
is it possible to keep my number and use vodacom, or is it just as bad!
the service is bad guys, seriously!

i swear someone @mtn is against me!

i think i know whats up!! the bundles expire after a certain period, whether used or not, so, why hurry to fix the problem, right?
problem still not fixed, no more airtime left, 1.61 gb data, no internet
hello the future!

The bundle expires after 60 days.

Have a look at HelloPeter and type in "MTN" then look at the amount of complaints over the past 5 days.
Unbelievable. Take note of the replies by MTN. They have ducked from there.

Go to VC and see the smilley faces of people that have been helped.

MTN has pages and pages of no reply and sad faces. I cannot believe the comparison.

The rep on here has gone and the rep at HelloPeter. Wonder why?

Mine took more than 30days to be activated ,until one lady told me it wil be activated on the 'live network by the supervisor & dont expect any respond from mtn on this forum...

i discovered something new, mtn has a new way of telling you politely to go to h... they simoy say "we are aware of your problem, we will send it to the supervisor and your problem will be escalated"

i swear thats the reply i got every day for two weeks, so... maybe i must just give up on getting the 2 gig data to work and move on hey?

problem solved guys, i bought a 10 mb data bundle, it works, but it cancelled my 1.61 gb data, so, bye bye daylight robery

UP TO 60 DAYS. If you bought it today, only 43 in fact.

Isn't it Vodacom's bundles that last "up to 60 days"? I'm sure MTN have been saying theirs are 60 days from date of purchase.

The difference between MTN and Voda is that Voda uses a calendar month.
From MTN Data Bundles - Terms and Conditions.:
Bundles will carry over to the following month for up to 60 days.
From VODACOM CARRY-OVER RULES: BROADBAND STANDARD & ADVANCED:
Unused allocated data (MB) will be carried over up to the last calendar day of the next month.

I'm no lawyer, but I understand MTN's as "your bundle will last 60 days", and Vodacom's as "your bundle will last up until the end of the next calendar month (it will expire within 30 to 60 days)".

I have puchased an MTN pre-paid bundle and the USSD bundle balance confirmed that it would expire in 60 days.

I think that MTN should let your data last indefinately (until it runs out) it will certainly help their billing dept , it should give the billing dept 50% less work .
But then again the fat cats wont be able to pay themselves R1300000.00 bonuses .

That's how they want you to see it - a marketing ploy.

You missed the UP TO part. To be fair, MTN are emphasising the 30 days whilst Voda keep saying 60.

you wont believe it!

now my mtn number which i have been using for 11 years has finally been blocked and gives a message - number does not exist on mtn network, seriously, what more could go wrong in my life???

please dont answer that, it will probably happen!!!
i did nothing illegal to get my number blocked!!
