I met an EFF voter

Lots of people were going to vote for Agang until that abortive "merger" with the DA so lots of free agents floating about undecided looking for a new home.

In my conversation with my EFF voting buddy, I told him that I don't believe people should below/support political parties like they do their sports teams. It's why we get such crazy loons all over the world. A political party must re-earn your vote every election based on deeds or what they promise if they're new.

A good point. Part loyalty shouldn't be unconditional.

This EFF supporter, did he start to work yet or did he pursue practical? Also note that Mugabe wants and attempted genocide.

People in this country have such a warped idea of genocide. He chased people of farms, there were some incidents but they were isolated.

If I was a survivor of say the Rwandan genocide I would be incredibly pissed at how South Africans are throwing the word around.

I know a company director supporting the EFF, but I think this have more to do with turning his back on the ANC due to developments and not wanting to vote anything other than black.

This is it.

They are "smart" enough to have finally realised that the ANC is not all they have claimed for many years, so now to save face they turn to supporting a "revolutionary" party. They cannot fall back on one of the existing parties as that will be admitting they were wrong in their support of the ANC all these years. The EFF is something new so it allows them to move on and partly save face.

And hell, even an "intelligent"* black person must be lured by the promise of free land, free housing, free food, free education, free....

(*In inverted commas because your intelligence needs to be questioned if you believe the country can sustain all those freebies!)

Welcome to South Africa.

The EFF is the reason why history should be a compulsory school subject. Anyone who's studied any of it will immediately recognize that they are dangerous fools.

When it comes to politics, people are unpredictable.
Once at a braai I had a very pleasant conversation with a well spoken, intelligent engineer.
Nice guy, well read, friendly - the type of person you'd like as a friend.
Then we started discussing politics and he turns out to be a Suidlander, getting ready for the Black Uhuru.
The conversation quickly dried up after that. :wtf:

Err, forgot about the Ndebele genocide? Or is 20 000 killed not enough?
