I need to switch off dynamic contrast

I have a Samsung 40D550.

I use it with my PS3 and PC via HDMI.

It's irritating the crap out of me. I've found the option under advanced, but it's greyed out. I've tried googling but only find things regarding special codes to enter.

It can't be that hard can it?

Try to change it when you watch from normal arial. Eg. When you are using a different source.

What's your source name set to? Check Source List, read options on screen on how to edit source name.

It should only be greyed out in specific Picture Modes. "Movie" is the best (most accurate colours), use this as a baseline and adjust settings from there.
