I recieved the roll out map from openserve...

Saw a telkom plamflet in my gate today, and went on the website shortly after with tears in my eyes!

Phone the sales rep that did answer phone at around 6pm, and he will be sorting out the order. He sales busy in the are and should not take too long. The area that is live did not take long to go live.

I really feel your pain, I waited over a year for fibre to roll out for my building... and just seeing EVERYONE around me getting it pissed me off lmao
 
Yeah also depends on provider. Lucky i got metrofibre, stability is insane.
 
When openserve started by us, they have a tent at the spar, when you go to the tent , they phone the guy and you get it within a day. But going via online takes snail long.
I went for the local isp, no contract, month to month, their price is the same as telkom.

Sounds like Vrotvoet.
The gardenroute is suffering from their incompetence just about every day. Never had such unstable internet in all my days of ADSL/VDSL.

I am on mweb, but i moved out of area, Funny just as they finising up. But still on openserve at new area i moved to.

Exactly this. Had them for a while and they are usable since they've let go of the that FUP nonsense years ago. Being on openserve's network means I never touched support. But it works fine and I never had downtime or throttled services. Only funkyness is MWEB routes weird sometimes.

If you have not set your mind on using them though look at the other isps, especially if support is a priority.

This is indeed true, it's entirely uncapped with pretty much all ISPs and providers (at least Fibre related)

No throttling ever, no shaping ever, no bs "caps"

Last few years for internet in SA has been quite amazing, people truly get to experience uncapped for what it is.
