wow, I have to wonder how these sensitive anti-smokers survived years ago when smoking was legal everywhere... or was it simply not fashionable to be anti-smoking?
See, now here's the thing. Smokers will often (and I'm not saying all smokers) try to undermine points non-smokers make or trivialize the issues non-smokers have. I guess it's easier to attack the person rather than to address the argument.
so, do you know the answer to my question? How did anti-smokers survive years ago?
They suffered in silence...
Debatable. Regulations were put into place by people who stood up and said that they'd had enough. If people didn't complain then I don't think we'd have anti-smoking regulations in place that prohibit smoking in public places.
It's just unfortunate that there continues to be smokers who couldn't give a rat's ass about how non-smokers feel; much like those annoying idiots who think everybody wants to listen to their car stereo blasting away in a residential parking lot.
Often the problem is just with inconsiderate people being inconsiderate people. It's hard not to hate on all smokers when a few are responsible for frustrating us.
I will say one thing though about smokers: I've yet to meet a single one that doesn't litter a place up with cigarette butts. Whether it's outside a shopping mall, outside a house, outside a residential complex, inside a residential complex, outside a hospital, at a beach or at a ****ing nature reserve, lo and behold, the best place to dispose of it is on the floor.
..... gotta hate those people that sneeze, cough, laugh and yawn in public!![]()
You smoked half a pack by secondary smoke?
I'm sorry but unless you were french kissing said persons while they were smoking I doubt it has affected you at all in an open air stadium.
More than likely it's the pyrotechnics and smoke machines and what not that have made you feel a bit sif this morning, not to mention the general abnormal behaviour of going to the rock concert the night before.
Good idea. Let's just pick and choose the legislation to which we will adhere. The others? F%^& them.Just because something is made a law or regulation it does not necessarily follow that such a law or regulation is just and fair, or alternatively not fundamentally stupid. Not all regulations are deserved of being obeyed.
Once again, it's not about a smell - smoke is an irritant. It's not a fart which, although unpleasant, is completely benign. The smell really has little to do with it.The notion that smelling someone else's smoke equates to you being forced to partake is fascist and illogical. Further, people who demand a ban on smoking and those who demand the same on fattening foods are both equally moronic. We cannot hope to rid the world of every element that might be detrimental to our health & the path to over-regulation of anything isn't one anyone should happily dance down.
It's not ideals. It's the law....and accepting the reality of being one of seven billion, and not throwing a hissy-fit when another one of seven billion does not act in accordance with your own ideals.
Yep. Not all laws are just and logical, and some down-right deserve not being adhered to. But hey, you go ahead being a happy little Communist.Good idea. Let's just pick and choose the legislation to which we will adhere. The others? F%^& them.
Farts contain ammonia, an irritant to the eye and upper respiratory tract. Best ban farting in public spaces.Once again, it's not about a smell - smoke is an irritant. It's not a fart which, although unpleasant, is completely benign. The smell really has little to do with it.
...and ludicrous political correctness reigns. It's not a path to over regulation. The journey has concluded and the regulation is in place.
So was the dom pas. It's not ideals. It's the law.

You guys go to a rock concert by one of the best bands in the world, and you're upset because some people were smoking weed and cigarettes? Are you guys for real? Next time go to a Kurt Darren concert, you obviously were at the wrong concert.
That's nasty. Telling someone to go to a Kurt Darren concert.

Next theyre going to want you to wear white gloves as rock concerts in case germs are spread or something.

Yes, it's just to force people who choose not to smoke to deal with your smoke.
