I wanted to find out from someone who is using the Iburst uncapped anytime package, how fast are your download speeds?

I get about 16KB/s. If you plan on leeching rather get this vas for the after hours bonus :D Also normal web browsing while throttled at 128k is very decent :>

during the peak times its like 60kbs and after12 it sky rockets to about 128kbs

I get this download speed with Iburst 128kbps. A bit disappointing but it is a 128kbps.

What d u expect??? its 1mb wireless connection, 10mb???

Just want to see if anyone can beat my torrent download speed... while throttled to 128kbps:D
Mad skills

Ps. Everything that I'm downloading was purchased. I just don't want you guys to see the name of my prons ;)

Edit: photo bucket re-sized the image like a noob and now you can't really see the speed but it's 30.5KB/s :p

-face palm- Since when is a Torrent LEGAL????? Fail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever heard of Steam???

-Face palm wolfy- Torrents are 100% legal, it's the content that your downloading that can be either legal or illegal. If you have a licence for the content that your downloading then it's legal. If i'm wrong I've just finished illegally downloading linux . Also to play SC2 a cd key is needed, this is a key factor here as I cant download a cd key and had to buy one ;)

Also if you by chance visited Sc2 website before the game was released you would have noticed that you could DL the game from blizzard and buy a cd key when the game was released... the game only became available on steam after it was released, I didnt want to wait till then :O. Therefor I could DL the game via torrent and buy my cd key when the game was released, or I could try to dl the game from blizzard and have to restart the DL every time my con died, OR I could of waited for the game to be officially released and I could have DL'd it via steam. But then I wouldn't be able to brag to my friends about how I bought and started playing SC2 at exactly 12:00am.

So in conclusion. You have no understanding of the law or the interwebz and you yourself just failed because no, torrents are not illegal :>

Ps. You just got lawyer'd.
Pps. I bet you cant beat my dl speed while capped.

Yes, Torrents can be used for legit purposes http://blog.ioshints.info/2010/07/use-bittorrent-to-update-software-in.html but P2P is also bad for the network http://blog.ioshints.info/2010/07/p2p-traffic-is-bad-for-network.html

Considering that torrents are generally throttled it's usually better to find a http/ftp alternative because it's faster. Only time you'd use a torrent really is when you cant find it anywhere else - which usually implies that it's "illegal" content.

sc2.iso already?

SC2 has already been cracked... I saw a cracked working copy of it the day after the release.

Blizzard games World of Warcraft and Starcraft 2 get their updates via BitTorrent.

@eltherza, The crack is only good for single player which isn't much fun. To play online you need a legal licence/cd key. Also the only Http/ftp download at the time was from blizzard and that wasn't working for me. Anyway I've bought the game and am currently installing :D

Back OT: can anyone beat my throttled speed :>
