iBurst forum trolling

I don't work for Iburst but I have had an Iburst connection for 5 years now... I have had some billing issues when I switched bundles but it was resolved, I would like more speed but when I posed the question here it was answered...

You guys make me naar. . you should have known the hardware only works on their network its a known fact, I do agree that the price increase is not lekker but it is still comparable in price.. per meg if not for speed.

The points have been made a few times now so move on ffs or get another connection...

Same thing happened with Neotel.

Best thing to do is avoid the services completely.
NO INTERNET is BETTER INTERNET (if you have no other option)

Hmm iburst is just ignoring us anyway by the looks of it .. Ostrich syndrome .
I hope MBB posts an article about this whole situation , other than that i will do my bit to inform people as much as I can against iburst.
I even go as far as to create oppertunities to bring up the subject .
3 x Clients warned against iburst today :) Just doing my part for the community and the better of mankind .

I love how you say this like every other ISP sub-forum isn't also stuffed with angry customers.

Also, if you're actually engineering anti-iBurst discussions, you should really reconsider life, the universe, and everything. I mean, really. Get a hobby or something. :)

The difference is that other ISPs dont make false promises and then just dissapear and go back on their word with not even an apology.

I have a hobby , life an outlook on the universe etc.
Yes I am engineering anti-iburst discussions as you so call it . Why is the question.
My goal is simply to make it very clear to anyone considering Iburst to stay away.
Its called warning your neighbour.

Back in the days when we all fought Sentech, there was lot of bitching, and moaning and complaints as well. And it was pretty much all that ever got posted in the Sentech forums. When a good thread came around though, the good thread was just as vigorously discussed. Feel free to go and have a look.

What we did *not* however, do, was to copy and paste the same complaint in any thread remotely related to Sentech. This is called staying "on topic", and it is simple, basic netiquette. If you don't have something to say about the topic -- then don't. Unless the topic is around the issue of the 64kbps service of course.

I disagree with the views that this forum is "sponsored". The iBurst forum is certainly not sponsored to my knowledge. iBurst has a presence in it, that is all. I don't feel that the moderators are moderating unfairly, in fact, I used to be one of the moderators of this forum as well, and constantly copying and pasting a standard message when someone mentions the word iBurst, unfortunately makes people irritated.

Moderators generally moderate when there are complaints about annoying behaviour -- believe me they would generally prefer not to have to sort out forum posts. The moderators are picked for being thoughtful, and considerate members interested in making MyADSL a better place, not for their draconian personalities or alliances. I resigned as moderator when I felt that my position and involvement in the industry would put me at odds with the place this is intended to be. I know "ginggs" fairly well too, and I believe that he has no ulterior motive for moderating.

Dusk's move by linking into his signature is in my view a much more successful mechanism of drawing attention to the issue wherever he posts. Other than that, thoughtful and meaningful argument regarding the topic at hand is your friend. Action is even better. Just ask Sentech ;)

After reading the Noseweek article, Iburst is a sinking ship.
How anyone is in business with them is beyond me
Anyway I cant wait to see how this story unfolds.....maybe in court.

Well nothing beats Neotel and they still alive and kicking.
