Of the total number of iBurst subscribers, very few are here complaining.
Their network seems fine. I believe your problem is local. Maybe iBurst are just being prevented from putting up additional base stations in your area?
Just remember that not all iBurst customers are on MyBB. I know 17 people here in Pta (personal friends of mine) who are also sadly using iBurst, and not one of them is on MyBB, yet they have the same issues with once decent speeds that went down the toilet to dial up. And they all stay in different areas in Pta, and 2 of them are near me.
Go look at their FB page and see all the complaints from all around the country, not just localised to my area. Also go look at Hellopeter complaints about them.
And their base station problem is exactly that, their problem. It is not my problem that they did not foresee a network issue to to increased load on towers in the area, could not give a damn about customer complaints, fail to give us what we pay for, hide behind BS stories about us being in a low reception area, etc......
Those Speedtest results mean nothing to me really...
We had 2+Mb/s even during the day, yet we now sit with dial-up speeds since December 2011. And we used to be able to watch Youtube vids at 720p or 1080p with absolutely no buffering issues, now a 240p vid take hours to buffer not to mention trying to download a Youtube vid to watch later will also take a whole day if we are lucky.
And we still have to fork out 800 bucks per month for their incompetence in giving us a decent internet connection.
Sorry, but their failure to admit that there is an issue in this area and their failure to fix it just strengthens my feeling that they could not give a toss about us being almost 10 year long customers.
Yes, you may have pretty decent speeds down there in CT and are one of the lucky ones, but what about the rest of us? Why must we sit with a crappy internet connection for almost a year already and they do jack about it? They fail on so many levels, it is not even funny anymore.
If they wake up, smell the early morning farts, give us what we pay for and give us our 2Mb/s speed back along with no Youtube issues and overall decent speeds once again, we will consider staying with them. But if not, March 2013 can roll around and they can shove this contract while we will spend our hard earned R800 per month with an ISP that actually gives a damn about customers.
