Hi, sorta a cross post, but would love to hear comments. If we are paying for a 1Mb line, and iBurst are shaping this, then cant we "shape" our cashflow ? eg. pay them a little now,... maybe a little next month,... :p just a thought,...use it ...dont use it,...i dont care :)

Ok. I'll 'shape' my R10 segments at high priority, but the R100 segments will be capped at say, 2/month? :D

Hey, I like this idea. It makes my bank account more efficient.

Then when they call, or send emails, we just ignore them. Cause we are "testing"

hmm, wonder how they would feel if they got no service for 2 months, or if my billing system failed.

I just don't understand why everyone signs up during softlaunch, gets a 35% discount and no cap and then complains about shaping.

:D

What's the point of no cap if you can't download anything?

I'm not complaining, but I don't use P2P either.

well I can download loads :D

I mean I understand your frustrations, and maybe its hard for me to understand where you're all coming from seeing as the most problems I've had lasted about 2 days... but, we all knew this was a commercial test did we not?

It seems everyone wants uncapped, unshaped, high speed (well at least for South Africa its high speed), cheap, always on internet... but that's not going to happen

Perhaps, maybe we just need to share the same tooth fairy, Slimo - send some of your good luck my way please.

dont know what you lot are talking about in regards to shaping. If i need something, I can easly pull 3GB in a day. My downloads average about 250mb an hour.

Is httport any good at bypassing shaping restrictions? Its a little app that allows you to traverse http proxies with ports other than the allowed ones. I was thinking it might be used to get around the shaping restrictions. Somebody like to check it out.

Offtopic: By the way, where do all the wifi experts hang out? I need to pick someones brains about something...

250 an hour??? how do you guys just take that?
in an hour i'm closer to 500 - 600 MB
