Thats GMT, you must still +2 hours to that. I did it after 06h00. I work during the day so I cannot do Speedtest from home.

Shaun my point is that these problems started slowly since December last year but since July this year the speed has degraded so much that it became useless during the day. And it's not only this particular spot! And I know the feeling when I'm throttled - in that case most of the sites time out in the middle of the page. At the moment the sites open but just incredibly slow - there is a difference and I don't think, I'm on throttled IP.

@Marlboro, From which suburb are you doing those speedtests from?

Maybe someone else in the same suburb/area can compare to see if they get the same results.
 
That download speed is not correct if you look at your upload speed.

Lets investigate please.

It will cost nothing and hopefully you will have an answer to the issue/slow speeds.

Hey Shaun,

My speeds are useless today. I did a restart on the iburst modem and then it was fine for not even a min and it went back down to a crawl. :(

I asked that before but never got an answer. I'd like to know what exactly is the techie going to check.

Do you have performance statistics for the iBurst towers load and bandwidth utilisation from last year or even before June/July this year to compare to current ones? How much were you oversubscribed before and now?

Today it is fine again. I think it might have been the weather or something, but it wasn't even raining... :confused:
 
Dont worry too much about it.

Seen anomalies like this every now and then. Will not hold you to randsom.

Some of the interesting explanations the network team give me are the following....

1. Marsh gas.
2. Solar flares.
3. The tides.

They are trying to kill me I swear.....:P

If anything goes South please call me straight away on my cell.

I take exception Marlboro.

I have never and will never make excuses to cover up and sweep away any issue.

I have offered assistance whereby we will meet you at any location in Gauteng to evaluate what could be wrong.

I have trained the field techies and if there is a congestion issue, base station problem or some or other RF anomaly they will inform you and get the network team involved while on site.

They shoot as straight as I do.

Again I offer assistance.
