iBurst very slow

Just got the fright of my life - downloaded a 35Mb file from downloads.worldonline.co.za in a couple of minutes! DUSpeed says max 129.5 kB/s - and IE topped out at 100. Is this going to last?

downloaded movie clips from www.speedandsound.co.za last nite consistantly got 300KB downloads. I prefer my iburst to the 512adsl at the office (sometimes.. )

Ok iBurst is faster for me after 18:30. I'm up from 20kb/s to 90kb/s!!!

i just rebooted my laptop and the modem, and now i'm receiving my capped 64k speeds *CONSTANT*

Now to only wait and see if it was my laptop/modem, or if this will dissapear in the following days to come. I can totally live with this speed...well... till my 3gig gets set to 0 again

Upload & Download speeds are fine +100Kbs sometimes even + 200kbs. The actual Web browsing speed SUX - check out www.numion.com

Hi speed test for monday morning, it looks like they are going to throttle during the day, but they have given us a bit more speed to work with...at least some of us can try get our work done now!

ok but you also said 100+kb is fine, 100kb is what 12.5KB/s
12.5KB/s is not fine

I'm running through a Linux ProxyServer, sharing with 3 other people via a wireless network to my house. B4 we where with Wavestream paying over R1500.00 pm for a 64K wireless connection my download speeds would average about 4-7kBytes/sec. Major difference, but as you say not fantastic.

Today about 80 kbps directly through USB and 170 kbps through Linux on Ethernet with and without squid proxy and multiple tests on all options. Far from being capped on bandwidth usage...

I've bypassed the proxy(masquerading)-even worse. Have now altered the squid delay pools. Will re-run benchmarks 2nite when no-one else is using the system.
