Well, finally after canceling iBurst giving a month's advance (go ADSL
) and being charged during 2 months for a confirmed canceled account I was refunded my R900 last month. This after being double charged for my modem (R2800 x2!) when I signed up 3 years ago! 
Just thought I'd let people know about my experience. Even if you get a confirmation that your account has been canceled make sure you let your bank know not to accept any more debit orders from them! After the first month I was assured I would be refunded after 7 working days multiple times by call centre staff and was instead rewarded by being charged again the next month. I sent a very angry email threatening legal action.
Then: Boom! R900 in my account credited. No "We're very sorry for our mistake" email or phone call or anything.
I guess I should be grateful I got my money back at all, but seriously: stay away from this company if you want professional service.
