ICASA improves spectrum policing

they will need a court order to enter any premises...and how can receiving a signal be illegal? so my big sat dish is illegal?:p

Question.... which band are they checking on?

5.8Ghz? 2.4Ghz? Wimax? Cellular?

Wow, the toothless watchdog doing something pro-active

my word! is it really true!?

lol @ roman, my thoughts exactly. Still, useful for the bosses 4x4 holidays.
I'm sure they will be able to close down some businesses creating unemployment and lost opportunities in their wake.
I'm sure licensed operators will be calling ICASA and saying "Pssst, go look over there at those people taking a chunk of our profits." On a more serious note tho'...some policing of the radio spectrum does need to be done before its saturated by people upping their wattage and trying to out shout other transmitters.

agreed
a lot of their focus also goes to broadcasting issues
and measuring EIRP on a high site will remain a challenge...
