It's my opinion that the SA cricketers are grossly overpaid prima donnas, for the results they achieve. It has become embarrassing to be a SA cricket supporter in big tournaments
Hey, naysayers, the runs are coming now...
EDIT: But no doubt you'll find a way to still turn it into a negative.

Yip, that's the nature of T20, 3 or 4 big overs can change the complexion of the game.
86/5 after 14 overs is poor from your top order. There's no defending that just because Robbie bailed them out a bit!
Need a super human effort from our fielders and bowlers to bring this one home. I refuse to be optimistic though. Tired of consistently being let down, as I am sure many of you guys are too....
It's no wonder the game appeals to the masses. The short memories and attention spans of many reflect the game. SA tops the test match table and is fractions of a point from being the top ODI team yet people call our players over paid primadonnas....
Agree. In football if Spain won all their friendlies but got kicked out the group stages then surely they should not be the #1 or #2 team in the world. It's my opinion that the SA cricketers are grossly overpaid prima donnas, for the results they achieve. Perhaps it's time to introduce a remuneration system based on a monetary amount paid per wicket taken, and per run made?
Give them a small basic salary, and make them perform for the bulk of their income. It has become embarrassing to be a SA cricket supporter in big tournaments
Test cricket doesn't have a world cup. That might explain it.sand_man said:Test cricket remains the pinnacle of the sport and we not doing too badly there, are we....?
That line says it all. In most aspects of SA life I come across folk who refer to themselves as realists when you point out that they are pessimists of note.

All about managing expectations.
