iCloud Photos not syncing.

I have iCloud photo syncing enabled on my iPhone and Mac. So I imported and deleted all my 'local' photos on my iPhone so that there isn't double copies of everything effectively taking up 2x the storage for the same content ('local' and iCloud photos).

So when iPhoto asked me to delete everything from my iPhone, it deleted ALL the photos from it.

So I went and disabled iCloud photo syncing and re-enabled it to try and get it to download all my iCloud photos to my iPhone - but it's not doing anything.

It is connected to a power source and is fully charged as well as connected to wifi.

Anyone know what is going on?

Be grateful it's not syncing :whistling:

Well how am I going to get my pictures without having to plug it in all the time...

I want my photos to sync over teh interwebs from Mac to iPhone and iPhone to mac. Period.

I have a similar odd problem.. My iPhone has loads of photos which are synced into the iCloud (smaller version on device, full size in cloud). iPad also set to sync to iCloud.

Now according to documentation both devices should see each others photos.. But instead each device appears to have its own cloud of photos :-( similarly contacts don't auto populate between the devices
