Hi guys, hoping for some help.
I have a netgear router downstairs, as well as a netgear repeater upstairs. Quite often, when one of the laptops at home would go to sleep, it would wake with an "ip address conflict" message. So what I did was assign each mac address a set IP address. There are no more conflicts, but often what happens is that when the laptops wake, the wifi will show as connected(to the repeater) but also be stuck on "identifying network" or no internet. Sometimes the internet will be working and others times not. (windows 7 btw)
I do the downloading at home and my sister streams from my laptop to hers. When this problem occurs, often when she goes to "network" only her pc shows up even we all connected on the network. I tend to have to either disconnect and reconnect to the wifi, which works half the time, and the rest of the time i have to reset the repeater.
Any suggestions guys?
