It wasn't a show, it was an advert for the ISP Polka.com

One of the girls were all excited because her parents got internet.

Do you really think he is a better singer and performer than Thembi?
I understand you stand by your man. But if you were not from his hood and didn't know him. Would you still vote for him rather than Thembi or Jason or Sasha Lee.

The trick with appreciating "good music" is to just listen - like on a radio - and if it stirs up something in you or gets your feet tapping - then it is good! Nowadays it is the "video" that sells the song - the music could be crappy, but if there are skimpy girls, choreographed moves and a bit of simulated sex moves then it sells. So listen to Lendel, Graeme, Jason & Co - without watching the box (just in case you're prejudiced by dress, race or whatever) - and feel the music with your senses & then make up your mind.
Then get yourself some Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young CD's & Jack Daniels and enjoy.........

When did this become a racial thing? :confused:

I did not mean "hood" racially but rather as referral to location(neighborhood). Is he not from Durban like you?

If I remember correctly Heinz Winkler won because a bunch of girls from his varsity voted through the night and encouraged others to to the same because he was from their "hood"(neighborhood/college/town/school).
Most likely he was not the best performer/singer, and he won. So it seems Idols is all about fans and their votes and not about talent.

Like I said. I do not follow the show. I see some highlights every week.

Basically if you listen to ECR the most popular radio in Durban - "his hood" and they wanted him voted out so your statement that his "hood" is voting for him is non sensical.

If you are implying that Indian's are voting for him, please be fair and talk about why whites are voting for graeme and coloured's for Sasha Lee.

I see no referance to skin coulour other than in your post.

You are in his "hood" if you are from DBN.

That comment is ill-founded as "his hood" wanted him voted out. Check the polls and do your research.

I take offence to your remark.

The original post insuated that Lendel only made it through because of the Indian durban vote.
