Idols rigged??

Come on man, why play the racial card? I've just read this from start to finish and you're overreacting somewhat.

I'm from Cape Town, and if I a choice between a Joburger, Natalian and a Capey, I would probably vote for the Capey, regardless of his/her skin colour.

I'm pretty sure that all the Durbs people are voting for Lendel. Black, white, purple and yellow...they are voting for him because he's from Durbs.

Stop with the race thing already.
 
Stop watching when they voted Pixie out... She can sing for me anytime...:rolleyes:

Cameron started off really well and I though he would go further but the last episode I watched he seemed to really screw it up...
 
hey this has gotten to serious anyway just to add my 2 cents, i like lendal and voted for him but recently he seems to not cut it.
graham i think this guy is surviving this long because he has some fans who vote for him not cos he can sing but cos they like him which is cool but the plot to vote is for the best singer .... my opinion graham sucks !
sasha lee - as somebody said before she just tries to hard but heading in the wrong direction.
jason is NOT BAD - but not as good as his " fans " think. he also tries to hard to be
seen as the new johnny cleg with his black "bros " he wants to create an image that maybe hes the new south africa rainbow dude .... maybe he wants to be known as the affirmative action singer LOL
Thembi - i really loved her i think she sang the best even better than pixie and lizl she had it going - i wanted her to win so very much she was a natural.

anyway now u can all start fighting again lol

Dude, South African Idols sucks balls, its such a waste of time! they are all terrible singers, and the judges are pathetic. Watch American Idols, it whips S.A Idols big time! I enjoy American Idols way more. I refuse to watch S.A Idols :)
 
Let's lay out the facts and leave the personal issues at the door shall we:

Fact: Joe Soap will vote for a resident of Durban if he is from Durban.

Fact: Biggest population of indians reside in Durban. (nothing racial about that)

Fact: You will vote for someone you feel most comfortable with. So yes the whites will vote for Graeme and the coloureds will vote for Sasha Lee and the indians will vote for Lendel.

Fact: Huge population of Indians in South Africa ensures that Lendel remains in Idols regardless of his ability or inability to sing.

Fact: Idols is not a singing contest it's a popularity contest.

There is no need to take any of this personally.

i know what u mean.... the atmosphere with the american idols is just way to cool even tho u are not there in person. I feel south african idols is just to boring and as for the judges :mad: THEY make idols even more boring....
i think its time they got more young vibrant judges these grumpie old judges have no go :rolleyes:

i agree but then you get a lot of bashing if an indian votes for lendal they say cos hes indian,,,, the same applies to whites most will vote for whites in my opinion thats why tembi didnt make it so all race groups need to admit that they are voting cos of color and not cos of how good these guys are and not bash another race group when they are also guilty of dong the same
 
I'd definitely vote for Tembi above that Graeme twat....
Tembi>Graeme>Lendel

This season of Idols isn't that good to be honest. I wouldn't pay more than R5 for any of their albums. I just think people are just voting for the person they feel they relate to the most (popularity contest). Fair enough Thembi was a better singer than Lendal and the rest IMO, but would you pay R100 or so for her album??

Is the winner always from the same town and of the same racial group every year?
 
Idols has nothing to do with singing ability but rather with looks thus Thembi good singer but not so good looks voted off.
Previous Idols winner Karen looked ugly never made it anywhere.
Jodie prior idols winner looked good doing fairly well in singing.
The judges no that looks count alot more in the music industry than some people think espicially for singingers who are just starting out
Thats just my personal opinion

SA Idols is a joke. I enjoy the american idols, at least the people can sing. The worst singer on american idols is better than any of the local tjops.

lol, well they sing better, thats all that really matters :) there was this one dude that sang tonight Michael Jacksons' Black or White, and he rocked!! He almost turned it into a kinda metal / alternative version and it was brilliant! We got some great talent like Seether and Prime Circle, just a pity singers like that dont enter idols.
