I recently upgrade from an old 8 zone IDS system to x64 system but the installer is delaying coming back and explaining how he set it up and the naming of the zones. I need to inform my security company the location of the different zones as well.

Is there any way to check on the control panel how the zones are named?

I also need to know if the control panel can be dimmed or put to sleep as it is quite bright especially at night when the house is dark.....

Quite a few vids on Google on how to name zones and if your stuck give ids Durban a call. Technical staff very helpfull

Anyone know how to view the arm status of a partition on the panel?

I can see P1 not ready. I want to see if P2 is armed or not. P2 is the outside zones

I would assume if you see a not ready zone then alarm is off and no zone is armed.

If I arm P1. It says P1 Armed.

I want to see that info for P2. Currently no one is moving around outside. It should either say P2 ready or P2 armed. I need to know how to see that info

No worries. I downloaded the manual and figured it out. Quite silly that there is multiple steps to see the various partitions.

I've just configured an IDS x64 with the same zones/settings as my existing 805 and transplanted all the cables. I can't seem to arm it as it keeps on saying P1 not ready, although there are no zone violations coming up on the keypad. It has a siren trouble warning for some reason but that can't be it.. can it?

PS. I've reset the config and setup from scratch.

To answer my own question, the X64 has a dedicated panic zone which you need to use (or bridge out with a resistor) otherwise it registers a panic whilst booting and you won't be able to use the sytem.
