iDSL service here this month

Nice price. I'll stick with Afrihost, Heard too many bad things about Iburst... to be fair, they were likely wireless related but since they (iBurst) didn't think its a good idea to offer service to East Londoners, I don't think it's a good idea to try them :p

This one is not new and not much exciting...

What's about mass launch of 20Mbps service, eh?

Un,,, exactly how is this better than afrihost?
As far as I know Afrihost are just resellers for IS. They don't run their own network with their own IPC capacity. This means that they can't do innovative things like free access to iGame.

Nice idea, pity iBurst can't either :p

R19 for 80MB? and that is how much, R237.5 per Gig?

i see they are still a very nice bunch these iburst people...

Strange that they would use this name for their product where i(I)DSL is another flavour of the DSL range. Other varients are ADSL; VDSL;HDSL etc. Where IDSL is a service offering speeds faster than ISDN but slower than ADSL. OR maybe its just me being toooo technical

the iDSL Starter solution has also been introduced and costs R19 for 80MB of data a month.

LOL!

And R99 for unlimited gaming!?! How much bandwidth can gaming use? Thats more than 3Gb/month from Afrihost

now if only their signal was within reach....

I don't think I am in iBurst's coverage area in anycase. Will stick with Afrihost.

Don't you need to get extra equipment and sign a contract to connect to iBurst?. I already have an ADSL router, and didn't need to sign any contracts or purchase any extra equipment when I switched to Afrihost.

B

iBurst needs an iBurst Modem & they will probably keep it that way. :) It's better to buy equipment cash so you don't need to sign a contract. :)
