IE Keeps crashing on launch, please help

Hi There,

I am running Windows 7 Professional x86 (Legit copy).

Everytime i open Internet Explorer, it crashes and i get that "Check online for a solution" or "Close program" menu that pops up. It is highly frustrating!!!

This is on one of my work PCs so i NEED Internet Explorer as i stream camera feeds using H.264 with it amongst other setups which will only work with IE 8 or 9. Opera, Mozilla, Chrome etc, none of them will work as i've tested.

Start menu, type "internet explorer", try opening the one with no add-ons. Might help narrow it down further.
 
Try running Internet Explorer without any AddOn's.

In in the [Start Search] input box, type:

iexplore –extoff
 
I thought this was a feature?

Have you tried installing then removing the latest version?

On the camera issues, that's what you get when people don't support standards. (And people ask me why I hate IE so much)

install the IE Tab add-on

Display web pages using IE within Chrome. Supports ActiveX controls, Sharepoint, ICBC, alipay. A "Top 10" extension since 2009!

For the ones who said Mozilla and Chrome, please go read OP again ;)

Will try "No Add-Ons" shortly and see if that helps. Thanks for suggestion.

@Lament: Appreciate the post, but TBH i dont know how to create a batch file using that :(

Quick question about "No Add-Ons"...

The cameras use Active X and H.264 compression... Upon 1st run i need to tell IE to install and run those. Surely with No Add-Ons i will not be able to use those components?
 
Install a real browser like Chrome or Firefox and most of your problems will disappear.

create a new text document
paste all that stuff he wrote in his post into it and save
rename the file YOURNAME.bat (the .bat is the imprtant bit)
run the file (by double-clicking)

Upgrade? It's an i7 Processor with 6GB RAM, 4TB HDD Space, 1GB 192bit GFX Card... Upgrading is NOT the issue here mate. How did you the miss the part where i said you cant stream the H.264 cameras via chrome or firefox etc? It has now been mentioned atleast 4 times, if not more...
