Chatted to a few people at work about this, and some say an increase in hijacking - while others say it would be a good move, as it would stop te casual guy from stealing a car on impulse.
Why invest so much money in trackers, insurance, armed security and such? I say emigrate, best investment you can ever make. Seriously, how much money are you wasting on all these so called defensive mechanism that won't make much of a difference anyway. Whatever you do here in SA, it's like reorganising the deck chairs on the Titanic before it goes down.

The hijackers would have a plant in the radio/tracking room of the company; if fact won't be surprised if they already do!

What I think would be best is if you have the ability to remotely see where your car is at using these cameras.
Second lyI think they should have the same inside the car, a facial recognition camera is mounted with a good view of the driver - you can tell it who to allow as drivers - else it won't start. If you are hijacked it can be used to identify the criminals.
