Wie's jou pappa?

After picking up my modem from BERCO, I raced home and it took me about 30 secs to install the thing and get connected. I forgot my username and pass, but a quick call sorted that out.

I get 23% signal strength with pringles tin, and 47% if I take the modem outside and stand on a ladder. I've got a nice USB repeater cable. Haven't tested the ping times on 47% sig.Str. yet, but will do so tomorrow and let you know what happened.

At the moment I'm happily downloading at an ave of 14kb/sec (128k Package) (Bursts of 33kb/sec)

Questions:
1) Should I mess around with MTU settings or is default fine?
2) Any new drivers I can download for modem or Firmware?
3) Is it true that sentech can 'bump' you to a larger package if you download too much?

Thanx

Shadow
