Is anyone else experiencing speed improvement?

bb, you're spot on there. I don't think they're ever going to sort their crap out. Until they start thinking less about lining their pockets (as with any goverment organisation) and more about their customers, they're going to stay in the pathetic state that they are in now.

The thing that blew me away about iBurst was their service - man! I was carried on their hands! They gave me quick, efficient and friendly service. And it felt good.

That tends to give you a lot more patience when there is a problem with the connection. Whereas with Sentech, the fact that you hate their guts doesn't make it easy when your connection is dodgy... and when it's as dodgy as Sentech is - things can get nasty. *kicks Sentech modem around a bit*

For now, I'm ecstatic with iBurst - nothing like downloading a 22Meg file in like three minutes @ 107KBps - it's faster than our ADSL connection at work! :)

iBurst has better speed, better service and is cheaper than Sentech. There's no contest.

The sceptic in my wants to add "For now anyway" [:)]

Sucktech no more... I'm now an iBurster! hmmmm... bandwidth... [:D]</div id="right"></i></font id="size1">

Add that "For now anyway" and wait till the "soft launch" is over and they've been operating for a few months.
I'd be interested to see how it performs with 2000+ users on the network.

Remember, there were no issues with Sentech during it's beta test phase either.

If I can run iBurst on a month to month basis then anything must be better than sensuck - what's to lose? I suspect even an overloaded iBurst will work better than sensuck at the best of times. Only problem is I happen to be right in the centre of a tiny area with no iBurst coverage :-(

Let's hope and pray that iBurst stays as good as it is now... I reckon these guys will make every effort they can to keep it that way. Unlike Sentech, they actually do give a crap what the clients think and feel.

I remember dealing with a company called Spatial Technologies (based in Rivonia) some years ago that did this kind of thing - maybe they're still around??
