I would gladly tell Neotel to stick it, but I can't afford the cancellation costs.
However, if this continues, we can take it further, make a stink and then I'm sure, so long I keep all information and procedures I've taken "logged" then I can prove my case when I do take it further.

I know it's not the device - the stupid people at Neotel are TOLD to tell us that!

We have always had the same speeds on the tower. Are you not sure that something on your pc is blocking your connection? I was downloading videos over Xbox live last night and it was averaging 2.1 Mbps. Which is awesome considering it was between 6 and 8 when the network is supposedly congested.
 
Towers are congested, not the network. Like they only have 2 towers in the whole Santon/Johannesburg area, after shutting down tower 320 which did work (the specific one I did get get 2.4meg out of).

Your lucky that there just isnt anyone near you that uses the tower your on. See if it lasts :P

Phoned Neotel again now, they say the same old BS as always - they can't tell me but they are working on the problem and it should be fixed ASAP.
 
My latest test:

Download Speed: 153 kbps (19.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 88 kbps (11 KB/sec transfer rate)

I am on one of the congested towers. Same one as gdiza.
 
Am I the only one in the Roodepoort area? I seem to be connected to tower 460, and the speeds are abysmal!
No-one else from this area having problems?
 
This morning I had a record breaking 5KB/s average.

Dunno WHAT is going on with that, but it's frustrating. Couldn't access web pages, they took forever to open.
 
doesn't seem like even all the bad/negative feedback that they're getting here on MyBB is forcing them to address the problem huh.
 
Just called Neotel again, got through very quickly, I just pushed "2" and bam, a guy answered.

Was told the same thing, they will get back to me, guy at Neotel blames the network department for not calling me back - they still working on the problem *sigh*

I think he has seen the light and realised that it is a lost cause.

I however am building up a lovely thread here... My bosses lawyer is coming in tomorrow to chat to me about this, he says I have a great case for cancelling my account and not paying a cent and "Breach of Contract" will be easy to prove.

If this happens, alot of MyBB users can get outta their contacts - I will share every thing with you guys and knowing this just puts a HUGE :D smile on my face! ;)

Fsck Neotel now... I'm sick and sat for their kark.
