I'm looking for a new HP laptop, please help

It needs to be new, small screen and in a budget of 15k.
I'm busy browsing Take2, where else can I find one?

I recently bought a Pavillion DV6-1125ei

Dual Core 2.20ghz
4gb DDR3 ram
64 bit
512mb radeon gpu
Cool screen (15.4" but I don't know the details - I think wuxga or something like that) not true widescreen but it's crisp and glossy.
HDMI port
eSATA port
Remote Control
Lightscribe dual layer writer
320gb hard drive
etc

My only issue is the sound card but I always planned to upgrade that with a USB card.

Works like a dream, looks good and cost R10k. I bought from Incredible Connection purely because I prefer to see something tangible for purchases like these...

The 6730 is a great machine (both the 6730s and 6730b). That pic is NOT what it looks like. Rather, it's a sleek, black version of the 6720 on the exterior, with aqua/blue led lights. It's a real looker! The build quality is solid, and the performance is good.

Certainly if you're going to run Vista, you need a minimum of 2GB RAM, so look at upgrading that.

But I'm sure you can get a better price elsewhere on that notebook.

Oh, and just make sure: If you want a glossy screen, you're going to struggle to find one. I struggled, and ended up "settling" for my Dell Studio 1537. Never looked back.

Btw, 15.4" is not really "small"

That Take2 Price seems way too high. For almost 12k you can get an entry level 17 inch....

Have a Pavilion dv6 1020 ei that stays at home really awesome and sleek and can play games nicely, for work and when i visit sites I have a 6730b more "rugged" travels better.

Yeah, the pavilion range was never meant to be carried around too much! The business notebooks definitely take beating much better

Hey watchout for the HP machines, HP has changed after sales service providers several times in ZA & has yet to find the right one. Lenovo is my personal preference mobilty, speed, functionality & and lots of non optional extras (WiFi, BT, Webcam etc) these come standard in Lenovo where as you got to fork out extra with HP to get a machine with that.

HP Probook. The 6730 is a entry level frame with a half decent cpu and lots of memory but same build quality as a 5k celeron nb.
