I felt it was time to come out of the closet and reveal my dark secret. :o

So, here it is : I've uninstalled Google Chrome from my notebook and only using Internet Explorer 11 now.

I have a Core i3 notebook with 4GB RAM, running Windows 8.1....and surprisingly, IE11 is extremely smooth & blisteringly fast on it.

Tried anything and everything to get Chrome to run smoothly on my notebook, but just gave up in the end.

So, it was back to IE11. However, the more I'm using IE11, the more I forget that I'm using IE11 and actually start to enjoy using it.

Should I tell my parents?

I tired it out as well, it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

My relationship with IE is like that of one with a friend that went bad for some or other reason.

Our ways parted, we still see each other in town, now and then, might nod the head at each other in recognition but no words will be spoken. Most of the hurt has been forgiven and forgotten but the memory of the betrayal lives on.

Long live Chrome....

LOL very nice mate.

IE at work and Chrome at home - I'm happy with that :)

All browser versions had their quirks throughout history. IE since v10 is a productive contender. Even FF had up and down where at times the developer or third-party variants performed more optimal. Same thing goes for Chrome as with FF. Opera had value and was pretty much stable throughout when compared to others. I have very little experience with Safari... except on mobile.

I think I might switch to IE Google Already gets enough personal info off me from my Android Phone

I don't mind browsing with Chrome but when I do banking stuff etc I use IE. Using chrome for stuff like that makes me uneasy.

Or you could use Firefox for everything ;)

I've also tried Firefox 25, could not get it to run smoothly.

Maybe it's my Microsoft wireless mouse causing the issues?

But on IE11 is scrolls super smooth.

All browsers are equally bad in this department. I however prefer Chrome as there are more plugins to prevent things like these and with Chrome being the/one of the leading browsers these plugins are kept up to date. Just slot in AddBlocker and a personal favorite is Ghostery.

If you want to see how and when pages track you then definitely install Ghostery. You will be amazed at how many trackers and stuff you get on some pages, even here on MyBB.

Here is the link to the Ghostery site: https://www.ghostery.com/
