Imagine Uncapped Feedback

I'm on 4mb Uncapped Basic (Imagine) during the day at the home/office where I am working. Fastest HTTP download I've ever seen in three weeks or so is 50kB/sec. Right now, it's peaking at about 20kB/sec. Browsing is noticeably slower than something like a capped service.

My Uncapped Express+ at home is currently rate limited, and the performance is better than this! Having said that though, since the introduction of these new uncapped products, even Uncapped Express+ has taken a nose-dive in after-hours performance, what with everyone jumping on the bandwagon. So much so that I'm really not happy paying R1000 for it anymore, and I'd like to drop down to one of the R500 offerings. Based on experience with Uncapped Basic, and feedback from MWEB users, MWEB seems the way to go.

Pity, since Imagine has been great from a service-level. For their sake, I hope IS can get back on track sooner than later.

Or just wait for the outcome of tomorrow's meeting.... hopefully we get to have Mweb via Imagine ;)

Yeah,
Hold off for a few days as I can confirm if we will be selling MWeb products for 1st June.
That way you can choose between all the Tier 1 providers and stick with our good customer service.
Hopefully the best of both worlds!

But this doesn't win anything. I would expect some approaching 384kb at this time of night :

I actually managed to hit full speed on a news server file last night. I was honestly very suprised - it never does this during the week!
