Doesn't mean you keep contributing and fill gaps. It just increases your payout since theoretically you're leaving the investment in place longer earning interest before drawing down on the capital (or the conceptual equivalent thereof since it's not really a capital/interest scenario)

Mine shows the date my first card licence was issued, and that is the date I use for insurance purposes.

Mines shows the date I got my driver's licence in South Africa. But I first applied for UK drivers licence in 2006.

If it's any consolation, my dealings with SARS (via Sable) had been pretty straight forward. I'm in the last stages trying to get my RA out and the only snag so far is Alan Gray (probably because of SARS) wanting extra documentation from the new tax authority which I have to wait for.

Once it's settled and I have my money in my grubby little European hands I'll post a thread with the details (since this is under the new rules and not the old "financial emigration" process).

That would be helpful. I have literally no idea where to start. I wasn’t even going to bother with SARS, should I? I don’t have RA or any money “locked” away.
