Immigrating to the UK

Already paid?
Sable is expensive, Breytenbachs is alot cheaper.

Breytenbachs Immigration Consultants - UK Immigration

Thanks! I see they offer the same service : https://www.bic-immigration.com/british-citizenship/british-citizenship-by-registration/

Unfortunately paid awhile ago (started the process last year), and the ball is already rolling, but I got a bit of a discount as I'm doing it with my sister.

For anyone else wanting to do it here are the documents they require.

Also used this new route (however mine was maternal grandfather between years 1983-1987) and got my passport a few months ago, was approximately a year long process from docs submitted to passport in hand.

Anyone on a BRP that expires Dec. this year received an email about getting the eVisa yet? I haven't received anything so far

Doubt wife and I will receive them now (we naturalised earlier this year), but her work is already badgering her about her “work visa” that’s going to expire at the end of the year.

Everyone's BRP expires this December.

I got an email from UKVI last week and setup my eVisa already.

Misconception really. BRP is not tied to the length of the visa. Mine expires in December but visa valid through to 2027.

I wonder how I have one already and your wife doesn't yet?
The BRP card expires on 31 December 2024.

We're talking about the replacement mechanism for it.

/edit Oh I see what you're saying, you already got the evisa thing...

Yup. Last week.

Not sure how it will work when leaving SA. Not sure they will believe me when I say “here is the code login and check”

But since everyone’s BRP ends on the 31st. Will see how it’s handled in the new year.

I think virtually everyone's BRP expires end of the year. Apparently the application process takes about 10min and you're good to go. I'm told you don't need to actually wait for an invite. It's not on my priority list yet so I've not bothered.

You need to wait for the invite. Otherwise the information is not correct when you sign up before hand.

Yea good point, also what happens when you get a new passport? Since this eVisa is tied to your passport...presumably you would need to let someone know?

I'm guessing you'll have to update your documents? I just had a look and I never updated my BRP code, so I can't do the eVisa thing until that's done. Fun fun!
