Yep FNB even blocked last year, could not even pay for netflix anymore, due to reaching 1 mill limit.

Do yourself a favour and search indeed and reed.co.uk for your skills. That’s what I did before making the move to be sure I could find work. Took 2 weeks once I had landed to be working and could easily support my family on a single income and still live well(by my low standards)

Friend and his wife (and 2 kids) came in 2 weeks before I did. I only left once I had a job offer. He starts his job on Monday. So he was without a job for 6 weeks.

Yep but I think he’s looking at it from a dev / ops / techie perspective with higher salaries.

Either way still very useful given the no age bracket.

Very reasonable. But if you put in the hard work there are qualifications here that will get you a salary of over £80,000

Yearly limit is exchange control, not tax.
You'll be taxed on UK income above R1.2m (I think) if you don't terminate your SA tax residency

I know the rules, I bought a house here a couple years ago and my son is busy with a purchase right now.
It's in the fine print somewhere.
Would have loved to use the first time buyer assistance...
